OHS vs Carver

Tonight we played Carver A&T in Towson, MD. It was a very interesting place to play basketball. It was built in the 1950's. They are in the process of building a new school and the building/gym we were in tonight will be torn down after this year. The gym design was very unique in that the only permanent seating was in the balcony of the gymnasium.

The guys jumped out to a 28-12 lead at the end of the 1st quarter and never looked back. We broke a school record tonight by scoring 87 points. Also, ALL players scored tonight (1st time in OHS history) Final Score: OHS 87- Carver 51

Our next game is scheduled for Wednesday Night against FSK.

Updated Schedule 1/29/11

Here is an updated schedule for the week. They are calling for a lot of snow this week. (possibly 12 inches) If anything changes, I will be posting the new information on my Blog. No more snow!!

Rescheduled Game

We have tentatively rescheduled the Loudoun Valley High School game for Friday, February 4. Since this game was a double header with the girls team we need to confirm if they will be playing as well and at what times.

Tonight's game cancelled (Wednesday)

Our game was cancelled tonight due to snow. Some areas are receiving 1-2 inches of snow per hour. Our game has not been rescheduled yet. I will notify everyone once we receive the updated information. Be safe.

OHS vs Allegany HS

Tonight we traveled 1 hour and 50 minutes to Allegany High School. (near Frostburg State University) It was a long and cold trip (15 degrees). The campers out scored us 17-8 in the first quarter. It was a struggle for most of the game recovering, but fought back at the end cutting it to 3 with about 2:00 minutes left in the game. We had a chance to tie the game at the end but the shot just won't go in. The final scored ended up being OHS 60-Allegany 67.

Our next game is scheduled for Wednesday at home against Loudoun Valley High School. For those wondering about the Walkersville game on Thursday....that's Junior Varsity ONLY.

OHS (6-7) vs Hedgesville (4th in the State)

Tonight the Oakdale Bears took on the 4th in the State of West Virginia. The Bears stayed with them for the first quarter. (10-10). It was a pleasure watching the Bears really giving them a hard time tonight. Our guys played great defense and never gave up. We were really proud of the guys tonight. Final Score: Hedgesville 61-OHS 41.
Our next game is next Saturday at Allegheny High School.

OHS vs Loudoun Valley

Our opponent was Loudoun Valley High School from Virginia. The bears had a hard time with Loudoun Valley's length which made it hard to score, however the bears played really hard.
Final Score: LVHS 62-OHS 43

OHS vs New Town

It was another exciting game tonight. However, this one had a better ending. The guys came out with a BIG WIN!! The game was back and forth and we got down by 12, then cut it to 7 in the 3rd quarter. We stepped up the defense and knocked down a big 3 and then a quick two and ended up winning by 4 in the last 50 seconds of the game. Final Score: OHS 67-NTHS 63

Our next game is scheduled for Friday against Loudoun Valley High School (away game).

OHS vs Joppatowne HS

Our first Friday night boys game (1st in the schools history) proved to be a very intense game. The guys battled hard all night and the game went back and forth. A shot at the buzzer felt short and we ended up losing by 1 point. Final Score: JTHS 70-OHS 69
