OHS vs Williamsport

Tonight we traveled to Williamsport High School. Turnovers in the beginning of the game didn't help us get off to a good start. We got down 20-8 in the 1st quarter. The guys played harder in the second half and cut it to 10 in the 3rd quarter. In the end we just couldn't come up with a win. We were very proud our guys played tough and never gave up. Final: OHS 57-WHS 72

1st Round Playoff Results

Tonight we played at home against Manchester Valley High School. Our team jumped on them early and never looked back. It was very exciting to see our team get their first win in playoff action. Final: OHS 67-MVHS 45

Quarter Round action takes place on Monday Night at Williamsport High School.

PLAYOFF DRAW

The MPSSAA will host the boys and girls basketball tournament draw on Sunday, Feb. 20, 2011. The draw will begin at 10:00 a.m. at Long Reach High School. Our coaches will be in attendance, so as soon as the draw is made I will post the information on my blog. The MPSSAA will post the information but sometimes it takes until the next morning before all the information is posted on their site.

OHS vs C. Milton Wright HS

Last night we played in Bel Air, Maryland about 2 hours away from Oakdale HS at C. Milton Wright High School. The other team was very aggressive and physical during the 1st quarter and no fouls were being called. We got down 11-21 after the 1st quarter of play. Our guys fought back and out scored them by 5 in the 2nd. Then we outscored them by 4 in the 3rd. It was a true playoff experience with a packed gym, 40 student band in the stands, and a row of football players yelling. It was back and forth to the end. It was a tough loss....FINAL: OHS 66-CMW 70

That was our last regular season game. We ended the regular season 10-10 (not counting the Christmas tournament). The playoff draw is on Sunday at 10:00 a.m

OHS vs Chesapeake

Tonight we played Chesapeake High School in Anne Annudel County. The game was back and forth for most of the game, however we led every quarter. Final: OHS 78-CHS 66

Our next game is away tomorrow night against C. Milton Wright. This weekend I will have all of the playoff information posted on my blog. I will post information on Saturday and on Sunday.

OHS vs New Town

Tonight's game was against New Town at home. The game was physical, fast, and intense. Our guys fought hard but just couldn't come up with the win. We were very proud of our team's effort tonight. This game was a great game to prepare us for the playoffs. OHS 72-NT77 Note: New Town is ranked 2nd in their region. Our next game is away at Chesapeake on Thursday Night.

OHS vs New Life

Tonight our opponent was New Life Christian. We jumped out to an early lead and never looked back. Our guys played really hard defense and out hustled the other team. Final Score: OHS 73- NLC 45 Our next game is scheduled for Tuesday at home against New Town High School. OHS vs MSD

Tonight we played against Maryland School for the Deaf. We took an early lead in the 1st quarter 22-13. MSD made a run in the 3rd quarter and cut the lead to 3. Our guys responded and played a great 4th quarter and secured the win. Final: OHS 68-MSD 60
Our next game is Friday Night away at New Life Christian Academy.

Schedule Adjustment

Due to a scheduling error, we will be removing Hedgesville from our schedule. Instead we will be playing Chesapeake High School on February 17. (Away Game)

OHS vs Loudoun Valley

A frustrating game with lots of foul shots (total of 75 for the game). Loudoun Valley's height and length once again gave us some problems. We were VERY PROUD of our teams effort. They played so hard, rebounded so well and gave it their all. It's very very exciting to watch them improve from game to game and grow as a team. GO BEARS!! Final Score: OHS 72-LVHS 84 Our next game is scheduled for Tuesday (HOME) against MSD.

OHS vs FSK

BIG WIN!!!! Tonight the Bears played at Francis Scott Key High School. The game was back and forth all night. We got down by 7 points and fought back to take the lead going into the 4th quarter. (64-61) The fourth quarter was exciting and we were able to hit our free throws in the last two minutes of the game to help us secure the win. Final: OHS 86 - FSK 83
Our next game is scheduled for Friday Night at home against Loudoun Valley High School.
