OHS vs Frederick

Tonight the Bears played at Frederick High School. The game started out very aggressive. The Bears had a tough 2nd quarter and only scored 4 points. They had to play catch up the rest of the game and cut the Cadets lead to 4 with a minute and half to go but couldn't get any closer. Final Score: OHS 56- FHS 64
The next game is scheduled for Tuesday at home. It's the final regular season home game of the season. The Bears will be playing against Tuscarora High School. GO BEARS!!

OHS vs Walkersville

Tonight was "Sink Pink" Night at Oakdale High School. Everyone was dressed in Pink to support Breast Cancer Awareness. Our team played at home against Walkersville High School. The Bears played very tough defense tonight holding the Lions to 8 points in the 1st quarter (17-8). The Bears continued to play hard and at a fast pace beating the Lions 65-52. Thank you to all the fans that showed up in pink tonight to support Breast Cancer Awareness and to support our Bears. GO BEARS!!!
The next game is scheduled for Friday night away at Frederick High.

OHS vs Linganore

Tonight the Bears played at home against Linganore High School. It was a very physical and exciting game. (playoff type atmosphere) The Bears were down by 9 points at half-time and at one point was down by as many as 12 in the 3rd quarter.  (down by 10 at the end of the 3rd) The Bears were tough and battled back and hit three big 3 pointers and made 6 for 6 from the free throw line in the 4th to make a come back. It was tied up with about 12 seconds to go. Linganore took the final shot and missed, however they got the rebound and took the last second shot and unfortunately it went in.  Final score: OHS 64- LHS 66  Our next game is scheduled for Tuesday night at home against Walkersville High School. GO BEARS!!!

OHS vs TJ

Tonight the Bears played against TJ High School. The Bears dominated the night and played tough defense. Our team played well together and everyone got some playing time. The final score was OHS 75-TJHS 62. The next game is scheduled for Friday night at home against Linganore High School. GO BEARS!!!!

OHS vs Urbana

Tonight the Bears played against Urbana High School. During the 1st half, the game was back and forth and very physical. At half-time the Bears were up by 5 points. During the 3rd quarter the Hawks outscored the Bears 26 to 8. The final score was OHS 55 - UHS 74. The next game is scheduled for next Wednesday at Thomas Johnson High School. OHS vs South Carroll HS

Tonight the Bears played against South Carroll High School at home. The Bears led for most of the game until the 3rd quarter. SCHS connected on a few shots and lead by as many as 6 during the 3rd. The Bears battled back and tied it and sent it to overtime. During overtime, the Bears outscored SCHS 16 to 11. The Bears played tonight with confidence and poise. It was a very exciting to watch. The final score was OHS 74-SCHS 69  The next game is scheduled for Friday night (away) at Urbana High School. Go Bears!!

OHS vs Middletown HS

Tonight the Bears played Middletown High School at home. They jumped out to a quick lead during the 1st quarter outscoring the Knights 18-8. The Bears continued to play hard and showed a lot of energy throughout the game. The whole team contributed in the win. Final Score: OHS 68- MHS 47 The next game is scheduled for Wednesday at home against South Carroll High School. GO BEARS!!!

OHS vs Tuscarora High School

Tonight the Bears traveled to Tuscarora High School. Our guys played very tough and with lots of heart and energy. I was very proud of all their efforts. The game came down to the last minute of play. We missed a few free throws, had a few turnovers, and THS capitalized on those and hit a three pointer and made their free throws at the end of the game. The final score was OHS 65- THS 70. The Bears next game is on Friday night at home against Middletown High School.  GO BEARS!!!

OHS vs Frederick High

Tonight the Bears played at home against the Frederick Cadets. Frederick was on a 4 game win streak coming into the game. The Bears played tough defense and went on a 20 to nothing run in the first half and had a 9 point lead at half time. The second half was back and forth and the Cadets cut it to 2 points in the fourth quarter with about 1:50 to go. The Bears played very strong in the last minute and were about to secure the win. FINAL: OHS 53- FHS 49  The next game is scheduled for Tuesday night at Tuscarora High School.

OHS vs Walkersville

Last night the Bears played against Walkersville High School. The guys took an early lead, out scoring the Lions 23-14 in the 1st quarter. However, the Lions clawed back and tied the game in the 4th quarter. The Bears held on for the win.   Final score was OHS 71-WHS 63. No picture available. (I forgot my camera)
Our next game is scheduled for Friday night at home against Frederick High School. Looking forward to seeing a large bear crowd at the game. Go Bears!!!

OHS vs Smithsburg

Final Score: OHS 58- Smithsburg 70

OHS vs Brunswick

Last night the team played at North Hagerstown High School in the Hub Holiday Classic Tournament. The Bears started off slow but regained their stride and ended up with a win. Final: OHS 61- BHS 52   The next game is scheduled for Wednesday night at North Hagerstown against Smithsburg High School (5:00 p.m.) Go Bears!!!

OHS vs Linganore

Tonight the Bears were on the road at Linganore High School. The Bears suffered their first lost of the season with a 55-76 final score. The next game is scheduled for December 27 at North Hagerstown High School.

OHS vs TJ

Tonight the Bears played at home against TJ High School. The patriots jumped out to a early lead, but the bears battled back and took the lead. TJ made a come back of their own in the 3rd quarter, but the bears played strong down the stretch and was able to secure the win. The fan support was great again tonight and I do believe we had the largest attended game in Bears history. Oakdale vs Urbana

Go OAKDALE!!!!! We had a huge fan support tonight as the Bears took on the visitors from Urbana. It was a playoff atmosphere and the game was close down to the wire. The Bears were able to hold on to a 3 point lead as Urbana's final shot attempt fell short. It was a great win for the young bears. FINAL: OHS 56 - UHS 53  The next game is scheduled for Friday night at home against the visiting Thomas Johnson Patriots.

The third game in one week, the bears played against North Hagerstown. It was another physical game with bears all over the floor.  It was enjoyable to watch how well they played together as a team. Final: OHS 78 - NHS 56  The next game is scheduled for Tuesday at home against Urbana High School.

OHS vs FSK

Tonight the bears battled with the Francis Scott Key Eagles. It was a very hard fought physical game. Final: OHS 63 - FSK 54   Our next game is on Friday night at home against North Hagerstown High School.

OHS Wins it's first game

Tonight the Bears played their first game of the season at home against Liberty High School. The final score was OHS 82- Liberty 63. The next game is on Wednesday night against FSK (away).

First Game of the 2011-2012 Season

The first game of the season is tomorrow night. (Monday, December 5) The Bears are playing at home againat Liberty High School. Junior Varsity 5:30 and Varsity at 7:00 p.m.

OHS vs Williamsport

Tonight we traveled to Williamsport High School. Turnovers in the beginning of the game didn't help us get off to a good start. We got down 20-8 in the 1st quarter. The guys played harder in the second half and cut it to 10 in the 3rd quarter. In the end we just couldn't come up with a win. We were very proud our guys played tough and never gave up. Final: OHS 57-WHS 72
