Tonight the Bears played at home against Gov. Thomas Johnson High School. TJ is much improved from last year and came in with a record of 3-1. The Bears played the first half with a great deal of emotion and were able to hold TJ to just 16 first half points. The Bears led 23-16 at half. TJ was able to close the gap in the 3rd quarter and tie the game at 33 all in the 4th quarter. The Bears got tough and were strong with the ball, made free throws down the stretch, and held TJ scoreless the last 3 minutes of the game. Oakdale was able to seal the game 43-33.
Thank you to all the Oakdale Fans that came out and supported the Bears this evening. It was a great Holiday Night themed game. Fans came out dressed in their best holiday wear.
The Bears will be participating in the Governors Challenge Tournament in Salisbury, MD December. 29-30. The first game is scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 29 at Wicomico High School against Sussex Tech.
